The school-holiday season. Warm evenings, swimming in the dam, sundowners on the plateau. The farm is most alive in summer — book early.

Autumn · March – MayThe Quiet Season
Warm days, cool nights, the veld in transition. Easter at Blanco is a tradition for many returning families. The pub fire is lit every evening.
Best for: Couples, small groups, retreat
Winter · June – AugustFrost, Firelight & Stars
Cold mornings, brilliant sunshine, and the clearest winter skies in the country. The indoor spaces come into their own — the pub, the dining room, the big fireplace in the barn.
Best for: Team retreats, writers, walkers
Spring · September – NovemberThe Karoo in Flower
The veld greens after winter rain and the wildflowers begin. One of the most beautiful times to walk the plateau. Still quiet, still uncrowded.
Best for: Birders, hikers, photographers
